Video Games and Learning [1]


I find that this short video explains the introduction and summarise the concept of video gaming and learning. Hope it helps.

Some terms in the video that I found very interesting are:

Using gaming approach is not just to educate students but TO FACILITATE LEARNING to the students.

Due to the prior existence of Enthusiasm in gaming, thus there is no need to develop one. Just by making the approach interesting and engaging is enough to make the learning going.

When students are interested in the task given, discussions will definiely roll!

Tangential learning used. It is a process by which some portion of people will self-educate if a topic is exposed to them in something that they already enjoy such as playing a musical instrument. (Taken from Wikipedia)
